We arrived to Garriguella town and Guillem Plujà welcomes us.
He invited us all to a “Garnatxa” drink inside his home. A tipical drink in Alt Empordà region.
He showed us his home, he showed my father in-law some people that he knowed 64 years ago.
We spent a very nice time talking about Garriguella’s past histories, Dali’s occurrences and the Weather Station placed inside Guillem’s house and about the meteorologist Tomàs Molina who usually talks about the weather in Alt Empordà using Guillem’s Weather Station in TV3 television.
After that we visited some places in Garriguella trying to remember some of them by Guillem and Josep (my father in-law).
We visited some people, we went to the old school. A few minutes ago, Guillem showed us a photography where Josep was playing 64 years ago in the same place, and we walked Garriguella’s streets.
After that, Guillem showed us their orchard, we spent a small time visiting it. The fig tree next to their orchard had some ripe figs, and we all ate some figs.
I don’t know Garriguella’s town before that, and now I think that is a fantastic place for several reasons:
- The town tributed my father in law.
- Guillem’s hospitality remember me my Grandma Isabel
- The biggest festival of the town begins each August 13th, the anniversary of my motorbike accident.
