Refreshing ourselves:
A few minutes before the accident we stopped to drink some water.
It was a sunny and hot day, we had recently eaten. This day, the weather gave us a typical August temperature in northern Spain. Around 33-37 degrees Celsius from the hour after our lunch until the beginning night.
I don’t remember exactly the temperature at that time but I remember the feel. I remember too the water and I also remember my feeling of sleep commented to Nils two or three times before this picture.

Routine control:
The regional police “Mossos de esquadra” stopped us (just Luca and me) for a routine breathalyzer control a few minutes later. We can continue our ride after five minutes later.
Quimet and Nils were some far enough away, after us, and they don’t be stopped.
Finally, we follow our ride coming back to Barcelona direction.
