Sant Antonio Reservoir landscape:

The Sant Antoni, San Antonio, or Talarn reservoir —the town closest to the dam—is located on the Noguera Pallaresa river.

The dam is located in the Susterris Strait, in the municipality of Talarn, and the reservoir extends for 11 km through the areas of Puebla de Segur, Salás del Pallars, Conca de Dalt, Talarn and Isona and Conca Dellá, in the Pallars Jussá region.

The dam was built in a place called Susterris, where the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa narrowed, flooding the church of San Antonio de Susterris and a good part of the so-called encomienda of Susterris, and extended north to Puebla de Segur and El Pont from Claverol, head of the municipality of Conca de Dalt.

Construction began in 1913 by the Canadian company Barcelona Traction, Light and Power Company Limited, La Canadiane.
