The Taga is a mountain of 2040m located in the Ripollès, in the Serra de Conivella, separated from the Serra Cavallera by the Ogassa pass. Its dominant position over the Freser and Ter valleys makes it a point of reference in the region; in addition, it is an excellent viewpoint of the peaks of the Pyrenees, from Puigmal to Canigó.
Despite not exceeding the altitudinal limit for potential forest, its upper part is completely deforested and occupied by pasture meadows, such as the Serra Cavallera.
The most owned municipalities are Bruguera, Ribes de Freser, Ogassa (to which it belongs) and Pardines. It is one of the limits of the Segadell valley.
At the beginning of the 20th century, it was the scene of diversity skiing events.
At the top there is a geodesic vertex (reference: 290083001).
The Taga is included in the list of the 100 summits of the FEEC.
